Original note

25.1 million children out of school

UNICEF estimates that 25.1 million children aged 5 to 16 in Pakistan are out of school, about 35 percent of that age group. The Pakistan Economic Survey 2024-25 put education spending at roughly 0.8 percent of GDP.

This is not a shortage of talent. It is a system denying millions of children the place, time and support to learn.
