Post 'N Gone is a free-for-all multimedia platform where posts disappear within their media-specific time frames.
There is no need for an account, cookie tracking, data harvesting, or personalized advertisements here.
Post 'N Gone is intended for users aged 18 and older.
Any content including child exploitation and animal cruelty will be reported. Post 'N Gone maintains a zero-tolerance policy for such content.
Post 'N Gone reserves the right to build in a counter-system to track such heinous acts; which we do not in the first place.
The foundation here is honor, respect, and trust.
Post 'N Gone does not run accounts, profile tracking, or advertisement tracking.
The site stores the posts, media, optional names, captions, and comments people choose to submit until they expire.
Engagement on the platform is mainly anonymous. Creating an identity is optional in some situations.
Freedom of information, speech, and opinions are at the core of Post 'N Gone.
Post 'N Gone does not use cookies for tracking, advertisements, making money, selling information, or any of that noise.
Posting checks are stateless and do not require a tracking cookie or account.
Scrambling IP addresses should be best practice for anybody.
Post 'N Gone is made for fun in the first place, but also as an act of defiance. Freedom of information is the main concern.
Start by reading other people's content, and adjust your future content contributions based on this.
When you are ready to post.
Choose your media type: videos, pictures, audio files, or just plain text. You can do this in the top navigation menu.
You can find the input forms at the bottom of the pages, below the content of other users.
For media posts, select your file and make sure it meets the file type restrictions.
Insert the surrounding information for your post. Some of it is optional.
Click the Post button.
Your content will be publicly visible immediately after posting, allowing others to view or interact with it.
After the specified time frame, the content will be gone.
Videos: Gone after 72 hours.
Pictures: Gone after 7 days.
Audio files: Gone after 14 days.
Text messages: Gone after 30 days.
Q: Do I need an account?
A: Accounts are not needed to post content.
Q: What is considered spam?
A: Spam is irrelevant messages (by new users), frequent advertisements, things nobody understands, many links in one post, failed SQL injections, pieces of code, etc.
Q: Why isn't my video previewing?
A: The upload has to be a real supported video file: .mp4, .mov, .avi, or .m4v. If the browser cannot decode the file, convert it to a cleaner supported format.
Q: Can I still view videos when the thumbnail is not displaying?
A: Yes, a missing thumbnail only affects the poster image. The video can still play on the video page, and the single video page has a download option.
Q: What is the maximum video file size I can upload?
A: The maximum file size for video uploads is currently 50MB.
Q: What if my file type isn't supported?
A: Renaming the extension usually is not enough. Convert or export the file to one of the supported formats for that media type.
Q: How can I support Post 'N Gone and keep it online forever?
A: We are working on donations; for now, this would be done manually.
Q: Can I advertise based on user preferences?
A: No, this will never happen for Post 'N Gone, but you can share a note with your site to everybody. Or we can work something out for D.U.N.E.'s advertisement corner.
Q: I made this really cool website, can I share it on Post 'N Gone?
A: Yes, within reason, you are allowed to share your site once a month or so. Make sure that the content is relevant to the users and explain what your site is about. Just posting a URL won't have much success.
Q: I clicked a URL and now I am getting a redirect warning, should I be worried?
A: Not automatically. The warning appears when a URL points to another website. Check the URL and only continue if you trust the destination.
Q: Can you whitelist my website from the redirect warning?
A: Yes, after I personally check the site and make sure it's legit, such matters are possible.
Q: Where can I ask questions?
A: Simply go to the homepage and post a note.
Q: Is there an alternative for postngone.com?
A: Yes, you can use p-n-g.com, or you can use postandgone.com.
