Heroes returned to Netflix on 1 July 2026. A total solar eclipse crossed Greenland, Iceland and northern Spain on 12 August. Four days later, Hayden Panettiere died at 36, five days before her birthday and forty days before the twentieth anniversary of the show's premiere.
Season three adds an eerie sequence of titles: "It's Coming," then "The Eclipse, Part 1," "The Eclipse, Part 2," "Our Father" and "Dual."
