The Black Dahlia's Fingerprints
The FBI identified Elizabeth Short, the Black Dahlia murder victim, 56 minutes after receiving her fingerprints in 1947. Los Angeles had sent the prints to Washington using Soundphoto, a picture-transmission system used by news services.
